Thomas J. Chaves, Esq.
Thomas J. Chaves, is another successful veteran litigator and trial attorney.
He graduated from Columbia Law School, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1982. He
graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a B.A. degree's political science
and Spanish. He has successfully tried over fifty cases to verdict. He
specializes in insurance defense law. He successfully handles labor law, general
liability, professional malpractice, personal injury, premises liability and
commercial liability. Mr. Chaves is admitted to practice law in New York and New
Jersey and all applicable federal courts. He is a member of the Hispanic Bar
Association of America, Puerto Rican Bar Association and the New York State
Trial Lawyers Association. He is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Chaves was a college lacrosse player playing as an attack-man for Amherst College, and is now a certified lacrosse Referee.
